Prior to the release of their upcoming 'Emergency' EP, the Swedish duo drops one of the very first songs they ever wrote together.

AceShowbiz - Icona Pop has released a new track "First Time" from their upcoming "Emergency" EP one day prior to the album release on Friday, July 17. "First Time" was one of the very first songs the Swedish duo ever wrote together.

Caroline Hjelt and Aino Jawo actually wrote "First Time" back in 2012, but just now decided to release it. The song gives more shouty, anthemic energy reminiscent of the group's 2012 hit "I Love It", which shot them to fame.

Aino said of "First Love" in a press release on Thursday, July 16, "The song has a whole new meaning to it now, looking back and reflecting on how far we've come since those early days when we were broke and didn't have a clue what we were doing or where we were going!"

"It's such a special song to us and really is a celebration of friendship, whether it's with your boyfriend or girlfriend or best friend," Caroline added. "We just wanted to capture that feeling again in a song and remind ourselves how important it is to never forget those special early days when you first meet someone."

Icona Pop is currently on tour with One Direction as the boyband's opening act on their North American "On the Road Again" Tour.
