The singer's new song comes as a preview of his upcoming eighth studio album, a follow-up to last year's 'Paula'.

AceShowbiz - Robin Thicke is back with new music. After splitting from Paula Patton and losing the "Blurred Lines" lawsuit last year, the R&B singer has returned with a brand new song titled "Morning Sun" which is now available for purchase on iTunes.

Thicke also released the song online along with its accompanying lyric video via his Vevo channel. On the mid-tempo track, the 38-year-old singer shows off his smooth and sensual vocals as he talks about his girl. "You were born a star/ But now you're my midnight moon and my morning sun," he sings.

"Morning Sun" serves as a preview of Thicke's upcoming eighth studio album, a follow-up to last year's "Paula". An effort to win back his then-estranged wife Patton, the 2014 record was a disaster both critically and commercially.

The new song came just a day after Thicke made an appearance at the 2015 BET Awards over the weekend. He was among the stars paying tribute to Smokey Robinson who was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the event.
