AceShowbiz - Courtney Love was attacked and held hostage after she got caught in the middle of a strike between taxi drivers and local Uber drivers in Paris on Thursday, June 25. Courtney took to Twitter and Instagram to update her fans about her condition.
She first posted on Twitter a photo of her Uber car window covered in what appeared to be thrown eggs. "Dude @kanyewest we may turn back to the airport and hide out with u.picketers just attacked our car #ParisUberStrike," she wrote alongside the photo.
"They've ambushed our car and are holding our driver hostage. they're beating the cars with metal bats. this is France?? I'm safer in Baghdad. Francois Hollande where are the f***ing police??? is it legal for your people to attack visitors? Get you're a** to the airport. Wtf???" she continued, "Paid some guys on motorcycles to sneak us out, got chased by a mob of taxi drivers who threw rocks, passed two police and they did nothing."
Courtney shared the same picture of her Uber car window on Instagram along with caption, "Scariest day of my life, ambushed at the airport in Paris by taxi drivers on strike against @uber got taken hostage and our car was destroyed."
The "Mono" singer followed it up with an alarming video of Uber drivers and taxi drivers yelling and fighting outside her car. "How on earth are these people allowed to do this? the first car was destroyed, all tires slashed and beat with bats, these guys trying to open the doors and the cops are doing nothing?? French Taliban? civil reform needed in France?? I want to go home," she captioned it.
Courtney added a photo of her on the back of a motor bike posing with two men who came to her rescue. "We got out after being held hostage for an hour thanks to these two guys," she wrote, "I'm scared out of my wits. Mr. Francois Hollande president or libertine? I can't believe this really just happened. love French people but your government blows #happytobealive #parisuberstrike wtf??"
