NBC has released the first trailer for "Heroes Reborn". The video shows a chaotic situation following a terrorist attack in Texas and introduces "the extraordinary among us," who are ordinary people with extraordinary abilities.
They include Carlos (Ryan Guzman), Luke (Zachary Levi), Tommy (Robbie Kay), Miko (Kiki Sukezane), Emily (Gatlin Green), Malina (Danika Yarosh) and Joanne (Judith Shekoni). Familiar faces such as Hiro (Masi Oka) and Noah Bennet a.k.a. H.R.G. (Jack Coleman) are also featured in the video.
"Heroes Reborn" picks up five years after the events on the original series, "Heroes". The new series begins as the heroes have gone into hiding after they are blamed for a terrorist attack in Texas a year ago.
Luke and Joanne are seeking to avenge a tragic loss. Noah Bennet has gone off the grid but conspiracy theorist Quentin Frady (Henry Zebrowski) finds him and opens his eyes to the truth behind the Odessa tragedy.
While in hiding, some are discovering their newfound skills. Awkward teen Tommy just wants to be normal and win the girl of his dreams, Emily, but normalcy is virtually impossible after learning of a new ability that terrifies him. Coming from a very sheltered upbringing, a bold and ethereal teenager, Malina, has been told she is destined for greatness.
In Tokyo, a quiet and unique young woman, Miko, is trying to track down her missing father while hiding an extraordinary secret that will make her a force to be reckoned with. Elsewhere, a different type of hero is emerging through former soldier Carlos.
The 13-episode event series will premiere Thursday, September 24 at 8 P.M. on NBC.
