Executive producer Robert L. Boyett says that the Olsen twins will not be part of 'Fuller House' because they want 'to focus on their fashion brands and various business endeavors.'

AceShowbiz - Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen are not returning to "Full House" revival after all. Executive producer Robert L. Boyett confirmed that the Olsen twins, who collectively played Michelle Tanner on the ABC series, would not reprise their role for the Netflix spin-off.

"Although Ashley and Mary-Kate will not be a part of 'Fuller House', I know how much 'Full House' has meant to them and they are still very much considered family," Boyett said in a statement. "It has been exciting to see how they have built their professional careers, and I support their choice to focus on their fashion brands and various business endeavors. I appreciate their support and good wishes towards 'Fuller House'."

The Olsen twins previously said they hadn't not been concacted about the revival project and just learnt about it when John Stamos officially announced the spin-off series on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" in April. Responding to the sisters' statement, Stamos tweeted, "I call bulls**t," though the tweet was later deleted.

"Fuller House", which will start off with a one-hour reunion, will focus on DJ Tanner (Candace Cameron-Bure) and her three kids, along with her sister Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) and neighbor Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber). Dave Coulier is also set to return as Joey Gladstone.

Employed as a vet, pregnant and recently widowed, and living in San Francisco, Tanner "asks her best friend and [her sister] Stephanie to come help her raise her kids," Cameron recently shared. Stephanie is now an aspiring musician, while Kimmy is described as a single mother who has feisty teenage daughter Ramona.

The 13-episode series will premiere in 2016 on Netflix.
