Chris Rock, Lenny Kravitz, Alicia Keys to Guest Star on 'Empire' Season 2

Oprah Winfrey and Common are also reported to guest star on the upcoming season of the FOX hip-hop series which starts later this year.

AceShowbiz - The first celebrity guests for the upcoming second season of "Empire" are announced. Chris Rock, Lenny Kravitz, and Alicia Keys are confirmed to play guest roles on the FOX hip-hop drama when the new season is expected to kick off later this year.

Details of their roles are still scarce, but the first half of the 18-episode season will air in Fall 2015 and the second part will premiere in Spring 2016. Oprah Winfrey and Common are also rumored to pop up on the sophomore season, but they haven't been confirmed.

Co-created by Lee Daniels, the show is led by Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson. Naomi Campbell, Jennifer Hudson, and Courtney Love played recurring roles on the first season while the guest stars included Mary J. Blige, Snoop Dogg, and Rita Ora.
