Sam Smith is reportedly no longer dating Jonathan Zeizel. The British chart-topping singer hinted at their separation during an emotional performance of his song "Good Thing" at a recent concert at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto.

"When I fell in love with the person who inspired the majority of this record, I had this fight in me to basically end it when I could've carried on," he told the crowd. "But I decided to write this song, and, the day before I wrote this song, I basically went on my phone, and I deleted their number and I deleted everything. The reason why this song is very special for me today is that I've actually had to do a very similar thing today with someone I've been seeing."

Taken off his critically-acclaimed debut album "In The Lonely Hour", "Good Thing" did sound like a breakup song with lyrics, "Too much of a good thing won't be good for long/ Although you made my heart sing, to stay with you would be wrong/ Too much of a good thing won't be good anymore/ Watch where I tread before I fall."

Smith later looked sad in a picture he posted on Instagram. "Sometimes you just need to lay in bed with a glass of red wine and a football T shirt and listen to Joni Mitchell," he cryptically wrote. "It's been a sad day. Beautiful show, but sad day x." He also tweeted, "Had a really sad day today, so thank you Toronto for making me feel so much better x."
