Shannen Doherty Suggests Jason Priestley Has Brain Damage in Response to His Diva Diss
Celebrity

The 'Beverly Hills 90210' alum thinks a car accident messed up her former co-star's head and altered his memory of her.

Shannen Doherty once again denies claim made by her former "Beverly Hills 90210" co-star Jason Priestley in his memoir that she acted like a diva. In an interview with Sirius XM's Jenny Hutt, Doherty believes Priestley suffered some memory loss from his 2002 car accident.

"I love Jason, but you know he had a car accident, a racing accident, and I think maybe parts of his memory got altered from that," she said, before adding, "Everybody changes. They have their own perception of the truth. His is definitely different than mine."

In his book, Priestley remembered when they were picked up to a meeting with TV executives after being sent a private jet, "Her butt had barely hit her seat before she said loudly to the PR person, 'Really? A town car? You send a town car to take me to the airport, not a limo?' She sighed a very put-upon sigh. I laughed, as I couldn't really tell if Shannen was kidding or not. I looked on, becoming more uneasy by the minute as she began b***hing about the short notice and the food on board and the temperature in the cabin and everything else."

However, Doherty insisted in her recent radio interview that it's not true. "I didn't even go on that jet at that point in time. It's like, 'Wait, wait, wait! You totally confused me with somebody else maybe from the show?!" the actress said. "I don't really know. I just know that at some point everybody just needs to sell a book. Right?"

When asked about former co-star Tori Spelling and how her personal life played out on her reality show "True Tori", Doherty said, "I would never in a million years choose that for myself. Ever. ... That's her choice of how she wants to deal with it."

"Some people need to put it out there, and for whatever her reasons were I think she wanted to own it herself," she went on, "because it was going to be in the papers regardless. It's just not a choice I would ever choose to make."

Among her former TV pals, only "Ian [Ziering], Brian [Austin Green] and Jennie [Garth] are the three that I've remained close with," she said.
