A drunk driver who hit Jennifer Lopez's car back in September has been charged with DUI, TMZ reports. According to the Los Angeles County District Attorney, Robert John Reitz was charged with two misdemeanor counts of drunk driving.

Prosecutors said that Robert's blood alcohol content was .15, which is nearly twice the legal limit of .08. If convicted, the Las Vegas man will face six months in jail and a $1,000 fine. According to New York Daily News, he is scheduled for immediate arraignment in Van Nuys, California.

J.Lo's Rolls-Royce was crashed by Robert's small pickup truck on September 27 in Pacific Coast Highway, Malibu. After the incident, the "On the Floor" hitmaker shared on Instagram a photo of her sitting in the passenger seat and Leah Remini behind the wheel.

Later in an interview with Extra, J.Lo said she was worried about her twin kids and Leah's daughter who were in the back seat when the accident happened. "I was super scared that something that happened to the kids," she shared, "They say in situations like that you fight, flight, freeze. I didn't freeze, I fought, and I didn't leave, I fought... I was like, 'They were kids in the car! There were three kids in the car, what's wrong with you?' "
