The 'Neon Light' crooner realizes they beat the odds after winning over Adam Levine who entered the finals with three singers.

AceShowbiz - Blake Shelton just scored his fourth win on "The Voice" season 7, the most of any coaches on the show, and it wasn't an easy job. With only Craig Wayne Boyd left on his team, he was up against Adam Levine who went into the finals with his team completely intact. In a press conference after the Tuesday, December 16 finale, Blake realized how big their achievement was.
"It's f***ing awesome," he said of winning over Adam, who has scored two wins on the show so far. "Will I rub it in Adam's face? He may quit the show before I'm done rubbing this in his face, but what's awesome is this guy holding this trophy."
He added, "Listen, I don't care if it's politically incorrect. I don't give a crap at this point because we went into this thing with the odds stacked against us. And I'm not talking about to beat Adam, it's just awesome to know that so many people connected with this guy with the odds against him to win this competition...This was mission impossible and [Craig] did it."
Craig himself was surprised by his win. "I really haven't had time to process it yet," he told reporters. "It caught me so off guard. I don't know what I expected."
Craig also opened up that a year ago he almost quit music after losing his house and his truck. "I remember more than a year ago, a little more than a year ago, sitting in a pickup outside a club after I had played to basically no one, and talking with my drummer and saying, 'Listen, I may have to quit. Because it's not paying my bills, and we're losing my house,' " he said. "I lost my pickup. I didn't know what I was going to do."
"And then randomly the opportunity [came] up to go audition a few months out for 'The Voice'," he went on sharing. "And I was like, 'You know what? I'm going to go do that.' "
Blake said Craig's win wasn't about his feat, but it's a triumph for country music. "Country music is literally my life. My life is not this show. This show will come and it will go and my life is country music. That's what I do. That's all I really care about," the country music crooner said.
"That's why it actually matters to me that somebody like [Craig] gets through and gets a record deal and makes music because when this is said and done, I can sit back and say, 'That's Craig I'm hearing on the radio now. He represents us. He's really good at what he does.' "
