The recent sexual assault claims continue to cost Bill Cosby gigs. Berklee College of Music removed his name from an online scholarship it awards, campus spokesman Allen Bush said Tuesday, November 25.

"Berklee no longer awards an online scholarship in Mr. Cosby's name. The college has no further comment at this time," Bush said according to Boston Globe. Passionate of jazz, Cosby has spoken numerous times at Berklee and received an honorary degree at the 2004 commencement.

Berklee is not the only college distancing themselves from the actor. The University of Massachusetts-Amherst said that it had cut ties with the comedian who served as an honorary chairman to their $300 million fundraising campaign. Cosby received a master's degree and a doctorate in education from the university, and has donated thousand of dollars to the university.

UMass-Amherst spokesman Ed Blaguszew-ski said, "He no longer has any affiliation with the campaign nor does he serve in any other capacity for the university." The spokesman added that Cosby agreed to it.

Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley urged the university to cut the ties with Cosby because it sends the wrong message when the state is focused on the prevention of campus sexual assault. Many of the colleges he's associated to, including Berklee, are under federal investigation related to its handling of sexual assaults.

Cosby's lawyer has called the sexual allegations "unsubstantiated" and "discredited."
