The actor along with the other cast and crew presented the upcoming Disney flick at New York Comic Con.

AceShowbiz - Imagine a place where nothing is impossible. The first teaser trailer of Disney's "Tomorrowland" offers the kind of world to a science-curious young girl who lives in a world plagued by hate and crime.

George Clooney appeared in flesh at New York Comic Con on Thursday, October 9 afternoon to present the footage during the film's panel. The actor said the film's "larger than most things I've been around" and that director Brad Bird "has a real vision for what he wanted to do. It was really fun to do."

The teaser begins with Brittany Robertson's Casey Newton claiming her personal effects at a police station. Among her things is a mysterious pin that gives her a vision of another but better world. Clooney's Frank Walker appears briefly at the end of the teaser to offer Casey the chance to travel to Tomorrowland.

"What the hell, that's it? We've been waiting for this thing for a year and a half and that's it?" Clooney joked after the clip was played. "I'm so barely in the teaser! I don't want to have to say, 'I'm a big star!' "

During the panel, screenwriter and producer Damon Lindelof described how he came up with the project. "I was having lunch with Sean Bailey, president of Disney live-action, and we were talking about what a Disney movie should be," he said. "When I first heard of Pirates of the Caribbean, to make a movie out of a theme park ride seemed ridiculous, but it was an awesome movie. I didn't know what it would be about, but if there was a movie about Tomorrowland, I would go see it."

The film also features Raffey Cassidy and Hugh Laurie, who both appeared at the panel. "She's not a bad character, she's a good character because she's helping and caring for people. But I wouldn't say she's really good; she's not the most thoughtful of people's feelings all the time," Cassidy said of her character.

"Tomorrowland" hits U.S. theaters May 22, 2015.
