The 'Talk Dirty' singer has broken his silence about his breakup from the 'American Idol' alum, saying, 'Everything is cool.'

AceShowbiz - Jason Derulo spoke out about his split from his girlfriend, Jordin Sparks, in a phone interview with KDWB on Thursday, September 25. When first asked to comment on the breakup, Jason said, "I'd rather not."
When asked if he and Jordin would at least remain friends, the "Whatcha Say" singer said, "Yeah." He then added, "Yeah, everything is cool, man. It's not a bad situation, it's not one of those kinds of things."
A source previously told Us Weekly that Jason and Jordin, who went public as a couple in 2012 after dating for about a year, were "both upset. It just wasn't working out. It was a lot of travel and hard to work with their schedules."
When asked in early August if he had any plans to propose to Jordin, Jason told E! Online, "When the time is right, for sure. I knew that [he wanted to be with her longterm] pretty early on. I felt that when I was in the hospital with my neck injury... I felt different... I felt like I needed her in my world."
