Sia Scores First No. 1 on Billboard 200 With '1000 Forms of Fear'

The Australian singer/songwriter's newest album comes at No. 1 on the chart with 52,000, her best sales week so far.

AceShowbiz - Sia Furler's "1000 Forms of Fear" has officially arrived at No. 1 on Billboard 200. Marking the Australia-born singer/songwriter's first LP to top the chart, it sells 52,000 in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

That's Sia's biggest sales week so far. Her previous best sales week came from "Some People Have Real Problems" which opened with 20,000 in 2008. The new record is powered by its lead single "Chandelier" which recently gave Sia her first top 20 hit on Billboard Hot 100 as a lead artist.

Next on Billboard 200, the soundtrack album of Disney's "Frozen (2013)" rises from No. 5 to No. 2 with 46,000, thanks to discounts at Amazon MP3 and Google Play. Sam Smith's "In the Lonely Hour" stays at No. 3 with 42,000.

Trey Songz's "Trigga", which was at No. 1 last week, slips to No. 4 with 35,000. Also falling three rungs is Ed Sheeran's "X" which is now sitting at No. 5 with 35,000.

At No. 6, Judas Priest nabs their highest-charting album ever after their 18th studio effort "Redeemer of Souls" opens with 33,000. Their previous album, 2008's "Nostradamus", only peaked at No. 11.

Closing out the top 10 are the "Now 50" compilation set that ascends from No. 11 to No. 7 with 22,000, The Dirty Heads' "Sound of Change" that enters the chart at No. 8 with 21,000, Miranda Lambert's "Platinum" which slides to No. 9 from last week's No. 7 with 20,000 and Lana Del Rey's "Ultraviolence" that sells additional 18,000 copies.
