Blake Shelton Responded to Divorce Rumor With Joke
Celebrity

In a tweet, the country singer mocked tabloid rumor that he is heading for a hundred million dollars divorce from Miranda Lambert.

Blake Shelton took a jab on the rumor that he and wife Miranda Lambert are heading for divorce. The country superstar posted a series of tweets that laughed off the ridiculous claim made by National Enquirer.

Back in October, Enquirer reported that Shelton and Lambert were having a $40 million divorce. "If it costs 40 million dollars to get a divorce then how will we ever afford it?!!! We had that money set aside for health care!!!" he tweeted at that time. Enquirer would not back down on the report though, writing earlier this month that the divorce is now $100 million.

Shelton responded with a joke on Twitter, "Wow!! @mirandalambert and I are so excited about our 100 million dollars!!! Who knew you could make so much money just by divorcing?!!" A follower then asked what he would do with the money, and he answered, "Mostly just crack and hookers ...Oh and Taco Bell!!"

Shelton is no stranger to this kind of bad press. He had previously been accused for having relationship with his "The Voice" co-judge Shakira and was blamed for Kelly Clarkson's marriage trouble. Tabloids also wrote that he cheated on his first wife with Lambert and then cheated on Lambert with other women since the day they were married.
