Two days shy of "The X Factor (US)" season 2 final performance show, judges Simon Cowell, Britney Spears, Demi Lovato and L.A. Reid as well as the three finalists showed up at a press conference on Monday, December 17. Among the info shared during the event was the duet partners on Wednesday's show.

LeAnn Rimes will join forces with Britney's protege Carly Rose Sonenclar. Another country music act Little Big Town will team up with Tate Stevens of team L.A. Tate revealed he had asked Garth Brooks to be his duet partner, but he was told that the "More Than a Memory" singer was "not an option." Still, he said performing with the group's "gonna be awesome."

Meanwhile, Simon's Fifth Harmony will be joined on stage by none other than Demi. "Kinda irritating to say, the person we've decided to duet with is Demi Lovato," Simon jokingly said of the pairing.

On the same occassion, Simon addressed L.A.'s exit. "On a personal level, I'm going to miss him. On a business level, I'm also going to miss him," the British producer admitted. Asked whether it's possible to see Jon Bon Jovi as a new judge, he coyly said, "Anything could happen, right?"

L.A. announced his departure from the singing competition show last Thursday. "I have decided that I will not return to 'The X Factor' next year," he told Access Hollywood. "I have to go back and I have a company to run that I've kind of neglected and it saddens me a little bit, but only a little bit. It was a nice break, it was a nice departure from what I've done for the past 20 years, but now I gotta go back to work."
