Rebecca Black gets ready for a second single to follow up her viral hit "Friday". To tide fans over while she's working on her debut album, the internet sensation is going to drop a text-messaging-themed anthem called "LOL" for her next offering.

According to The Sun, the upcoming single "is in a similar vein" to the weekend anthem "Friday". Its chorus features lines "BFF you make me LOL", and she recorded the track at a studio near her home in Orange County, California. "I'm going to prove you wrong. Just like Friday, the new songs are pretty catchy," she said.

"People were saying, 'You're the worst singer, this is the worst song.' They criticized my voice and the lyrics," she added. "But I call them negative Nancies. They can try to rain on my parade but as far as I'm concerned they are raining on their own parade."

Being a global mockery, Rebecca is grateful that such big stars as Lady GaGa, Simon Cowell, Ryan Seacrest, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden showed their support for her. She also thanked Nick Jonas for doing a cover of her song.

While those stars have nothing but good words for her, fellow teen singer Miley Cyrus is not impressed with whoever gaining fame through internet. "It should be harder to be an artist," she said. "You shouldn't just be able to put a song on YouTube and go out on tour."

Rebecca hasn't responded to Miley's statement, but she has always been fiercely defensive. "I like the fact I am singing like a 13-year-old girl, not trying to be anything else. I would consider some teenage love songs but I want to keep it appropriate and clean," she stated.
