After failing to reach the Top 20 of Billboard Hot 200 through his third effort "The Boatlift", Pitbull is ready to make a return to the chart with his new album "Rebelution" which will be released across U.S. on August 31. Out of fifteen new materials in the set, three of them have made their way out.
The first single, which has come out, is "Krazy" which has Lil Jon lending his vocal and contributing behind production table. The song managed to peak at number 30 on Billboard Hot 100. The not-so-quite impressive chart performance was then followed by the achievement of its second single "I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)" which secured the second spot on the chart.
The next single which has been made available for digital download in advance of the new album is "Hotel Room Service". The track reached number 9 on the U.S. singles chart, making it Pitbull's second most popular single after "I Know You Want Me". As a follow up to "Room Service", another song called "Shut It Down" which features Akon reportedly will be outed later this week.
Beside teaming up with Akon and Lil Jon, Pitbull also joins forces with Avery Storm, B.O.B and Slim. Explaining why he chooses to drop the new effort on Monday rather than the usual U.S. Tuesday schedule, this musician said, "The album is being released on a Monday to meet the deadline for submitting albums to the Grammy people. It also gives us an extra day of sales leading into the labor day weekend."
As part of promotional project for this new album, Pitbull will stop by Hard Rock Universal CityWalk on August 31 at 6 P.M. for autograph signing. Two hours later, he will visit NBC's "The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien". The next day, a release party will also be conducted at the PIT-BULL PEN in Dodger Stadium. The promo will be followed by a series of live concerts which schedule can be seen on his MySpace.
