'Twilight' Among 2009 Teen Choice Awards' Early Winners

The vampire drama movie takes home two prizes for Taylor Lautner and Ashley Greene, while 'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince' wins favorite action adventure.

AceShowbiz - Leading the nominations with 12 nods, "Twilight" has collected its first two awards at this year's Teen Choice Awards. The first film of the "Twilight Saga" series grabbed Choice Movie: Fresh Face for male and female actors. The male category went to its young star Taylor Lautner, and the female kudo was given to Ashley Greene.

Lautner won over Taylor Kitsch of "X-Men Origins: Wolverine", Dev Patel of "Slumdog Millionaire", Chris Pine of "Star Trek" and Sam Worthington of "Terminator Salvation". Meanwhile, Greene's competitors for the Fresh Face Female included Emily Osment and co-star Nikki Reed.

Beside "Twilight", several other early winners at the show have been announced as well. "Up" was hailed Choice Movie: Comedy, "The Proposal" grabbed Choice Movie: Romance title, "My Sister's Keeper" took home Choice Movie: Drama and "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" nabbed Choice Movie: Action /Adventure.

In the performers category, Hugh Jackman followed Zac Efron's footsteps of taking a surfboard for Choice Movie Actor this year. While Efron got a hold of Choice Movie Actor: Comedy and Music/Dance, the star of "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" collected only Choice Movie Actor: Action Adventure.

The 11th Annual Teen Choice Awards is hosted by Jonas Brothers who are also billed to be the performers in addition to Sean Kingston, Miley Cyrus and Black Eyed Peas. Its winners are determined by votes from teens aged 13 to 19. The show will be aired Monday, August 10, starting 8 P.M. Eastern on FOX.

UPDATE: "Up", "The Proposal", "My Sister's Keeper" and "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" all won the Choice Movie titles in the summer movie categories.
