Leona Lewis, Kelly Clarkson and More to Sing in VH1 Divas Concert

Adele, Miley Cyrus, Leona Lewis and Kelly Clarkson are billed to sing in VH1 Divas Concert on September 17.

AceShowbiz - VH1 has revived its Divas concert, which has been absent from the small screen since 2004, and the network recruits such big stars as Leona Lewis and Kelly Clarkson as its headlining acts. Beside Leona and Kelly, the network has also tapped Adele and Miley Cyrus to sing at the upcoming gig.

"Adele, Kelly, Leona and Miley have all captured the world's attention with their talent and have earned their designation as VH1 Divas this year," the concert's producer, Lee Rolontz, told MTV when commenting on the line-up. "Don't let some of their young ages fool you - these women are among the best entertainers in the world and will continue to thrill music fans for a long time to come."

The revived VH1 Divas concert will take place at Brooklyn Academy of Music's Howard Gilman Opera House and will be aired live on VH1 on September 17. More presenters and performers are expected to be announced in the coming weeks. Previous musical guests at the gig included Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Cher, Diana Ross and Beyonce Knowles.

Leona Lewis is currently working on her second studio album which is yet to be titled. She is rumored to hit studio with the likes of Jay-Z, Timbaland, Ryan Tedder of the OneRepublic and will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas. Recently, she confirmed about receiving helping hands from Steve Frampton, Julian Bunetta and Savan Kotecha.

As for Kelly Clarkson, the winner of "American Idol" season one has dropped her fourth studio project "All I Ever Wanted" in March. As a promotional effort to support the record, she will embark on a North American tour starting from October 2 at Mohegan Sun Resort & Casino in Uncasville, Connecticut.
