New Trailer From Robert Rodriguez's 'Shorts'

A perfectly uniformed neighborhood turns chaotic when a rainbow-colored rock that grants wishes to anyone who holds it falls into the wrong hands as seen in the new 'Shorts' trailer.

AceShowbiz - A brand new movie trailer for PG-rated "Shorts" has arrived via Nick.com. Though it shares many similar footage to the previously-released teaser, the promotional video displays a lot more finished CGI and visual effects shots. It also opens to the introduction made by the director of this family fantasy film himself, Robert Rodriguez.

This magical fantasy adventure centers on 11-year-old Toe Thompson. Though he only wants to make a few friends, he often becomes a target of bullies by the suburban community of Black Falls. But, everything is about to change. During a freak storm, Toe gets a hold on a mysterious Rainbow Rock, which grants wishes to anyone who finds it. And when the magical rock falls on the wrong hands, the adults, all hell breaks loose.

Written and directed by the man behind "The Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl in 3-D" and "Sin City", "Shorts" stars Jimmy Bennett and is supported by Leslie Mann, William H. Macy and Kat Dennings among others. Warner Bros. Pictures will distribute this movie in U.S. theaters on August 7.
