Kings of Leon will begin the work of their fourth studio early next year and vocalist Caleb Followill said the sound has tilted to Wham! records.

On the heels of #1 album 'Because of the Times', Kings of Leon has prepared the work of the fourth one. The Tennessee band said that some materials are going to sound like the famous '80s duo Wham! record.

"We try to strike while the iron's hot", frontman Caleb Followill said. "And we're writing some really good songs right now. Because of the thrill of being number one, I think the songs we're writing now just really have something about them. Its a passion that I think will carry on. This is gonna be like a Wham! Record."

Caleb also predicts that they will begin recording in February and he hopes to complete it before 2008 ends. In an interview with XFM he said, "We end the tour January 13th, my birthday is January 14th and hopefully we'll be in the studio by Valentines Day to start the next one."

The band in particular is not rushing to work on this album as their 2007 effort 'Because of the Times' is still enjoying chart success in several countries. "The success of the record has been a big shock to us," Caleb added, "But because of that things are happening at different times in different territories. We just had a number one in Ireland which we've not had before, so no, we're not finished with this album cycle just yet."

Meanwhile, the band is looking forward to release the third single off 'Because of the Times' this October. 'Charmer' has been pulled to follow 'Fans'.
