Kings of Leon celebrates a triumphant return to the top of Billboard’s Adult Alternative Airplay chart with "To Space," marking their fifth No. 1 hit.

AceShowbiz - Kings of Leon has achieved a remarkable milestone by topping Billboard’s Adult Alternative Airplay chart for the fifth time with their latest single, “To Space,” which has officially reached the No. 1 spot on the survey dated February 14.
This achievement marks their first return to the top of the chart in nearly five years, following the success of “The Bandit,” which enjoyed a six-week reign starting in February 2021. In the interim, Kings of Leon made four additional appearances on the Adult Alternative Airplay chart, including a strong showing with “Mustang,” which peaked at No. 3 in 2024.
The Followills initially made their mark on the chart back in 2009 with their hit “Use Somebody,” followed by “Radioactive” in 2010 and “Waste a Moment” from 2016 to 2017. The latter track enjoyed a 15-week tenure at No. 1, which stands as the second-longest in the history of the Adult Alternative Airplay chart, alongside Coldplay’s “Clocks” (2003). Both titles follow U2’s 16-week reign with “Beautiful Day” (2000-01).
“To Space” is featured on Kings of Leon’s EP #2, released in November, and is part of their evolving discography that began with their first EP, Holy Roller Novocaine, in 2003. Their latest full-length album, Can We Please Have Fun, debuted at No. 4 on the Top Alternative Albums chart in 2024 and has accumulated 66,000 equivalent album units to date.
Looking ahead, Kings of Leon is set to embark on a brief U.S. tour starting in April, with a kickoff in Louisville, Kentucky, followed by several European dates slated for the summer.
