The Chainsmokers

A lot of fans became aware of The Chainsmokers in the spring of 2014, when the duo came with their viral hit "#Selfie". The track reached No. 16 on Billboard Hot 100 and catapulted the then-unknown pair Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall to stardom.

Along with the success, came questions about how the group would follow up the song. However, the two producers have proven they're no one hit wonder when they once again stormed the charts with the single "Roses".

Featuring vocals by Philadelphia-based artist Rozes, The Chainsmoker's latest hit gives them their highest-charting hit on the Hot 100 as it has so far peaked at No. 6. It has also spent multiple weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart and is holding the title for the biggest selling Dance/Electronic Digital Song of 2016.

Rozes, whose real name is Elizabeth Mencel, also co-wrote the track. In an interview with Idolator, The Chainsmokers explained how they discovered the songstress. "She had this song called 'Limelight' that was doing well on Hype Machine and we just hit her up and said come over and hang out and write a song. We wrote it the first time we met in a six hour session. Sometimes you get lucky like that," they said.

"Roses" was lifted off the duo's 2015 EP "Bouquet". Currently, the band is readying their debut album, which is expected to come out later this year.
