Timeflies emerged as a dynamic force in pop and electronic music, an American duo celebrated for their innovative blend of genres, viral online presence, and dedicated fanbase. Formed in Brooklyn, New York in October 2010, the group consists of vocalist Cal Shapiro and producer Rob Resnick. Their partnership began during their college years at Tufts University, where they initially performed under the name 'The Ride' alongside writer Matt Merritt. The duo's claim to fame arrived with their 2012 EP "One Night," but their foundation was built on the digital phenomenon of "Timeflies Tuesday," a weekly YouTube series where they released new music and inventive covers, ultimately amassing over 145 million views and cultivating a massive online following.

Their independent debut, "The Scotch Tape," arrived in 2011, setting the stage for their major label breakthrough. In 2014, Timeflies released "After Hours," which debuted at number eight on the Billboard Top 200 and topped the iTunes Top Pop Albums chart. The album spawned the hit single "All the Way," which soared to number two on Billboard’s Top Digital Songs chart and accumulated over 50 million streams on Spotify. This commercial success translated into high-profile television appearances, including performances on Good Morning America and Jimmy Kimmel LIVE!, while Vanity Fair dubbed them "Musical Masterminds."

Beyond their own recordings, Timeflies found significant success with music placements in various media. Their songs have been featured in films like About Last Night and My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2, as well as in programming for Major League Baseball, NBC, Red Bull, and American Idol. They continued their output with the album "Just for Fun," supporting it with a headline 35-city tour. To date, the duo has sold over 150,000 albums and 800,000 singles, combined with 175 million video views and 261 million Spotify streams worldwide, cementing their status as artists who successfully bridged the gap between grassroots internet fame and mainstream pop recognition.
