Reese goes undercover as an armored car guard to protect the person of interest, a longtime armored car runner with a wife and son. Meanwhile, we see flashbacks of Reese in his CIA days as he's forced to ignore Jessica's plea for help in order to travel to an abandoned city in China with Stanton. His orders are to kill Stanton when the mission is completed and is stunned to find she's been given the same orders. At the end of the mission, they're targeted by a missile and it appears that Stanton is killed by the blast, however, she resurfaces at the end of the episode in the present day.
