In a stable, a horse whinnies in fear as a man is stabbed with a needle and falls to the ground lifeless...

At the station, Laura meets with Kelly Sullivan, a fellow mom of a little girl named Zoey, who's in the twins' Tae Kwon Do class. She tells Laura the boys have been bullying her daughter - who has the bruises to prove it. Laura vows to punish Harrison and Nicholas and sends Alicia to shadow them during practice to watch their every move.

Jake gets an important call. The mayor's golf buddy didn't show up this morning and his wife is freaking out. Laura and Billy are on the case. They meet with Mrs. Foster, whose husband Karl, a fertility doctor, hasn't been seen since the night before. While searching the house, they find a planner that contains a weekly meeting with a "B.B." and has a Bahamas cruise scheduled. There's also a photo of Karl with a blonde woman and a race horse, labeled "Beautiful Becky." Looks like Laura and Billy are off to the races!

At the track, they learn Foster is a regular better and the woman in the picture is a VIP concierge. But her name isn't Becky; it's Jenna. Just then, Laura hears over the loudspeaker that Bahamas Cruise has just won a race. Bahamas Cruise isn't a trip and Beautiful Becky isn't a mistress - they're racehorses!

Laura and Billy head to the stables to find Foster, dead in Becky's stall, his body covered in puncture wounds. Before they can investigate further, Laura starts breaking out in hives - she's allergic to horse dander. Billy makes her leave while he speaks with Becky's trainer, who has a solid alibi and suggests talking to Becky's jockey, Adam Silt. While avoiding the horses, Laura gets a call from Alicia at the dojo. Zoey accused the boys of kicking her in the stomach. Zoey's mother is furious, and Alicia drags the boys out of class.

When Billy goes looking for Adam, the jockey makes a break for it. Billy catches up, then finds out Foster was injecting him with HCG, a pregnancy hormone that, when men take it, pumps up their metabolism and helps them lose weight. Adam needs HGC to make weight at the tracks, but the drug is illegal when not used as a fertility treatment, so he ran to avoid taking a blood test. Adam admits he used to get shots at Foster's clinic after hours, but stopped after witnessing a blowout with a crazy patient who attacked the doctor with pepper spray. Meredith gets word from the Medical Examiner that Karl's cause of death was air. Someone injected an air bubble directly into his coronary artery. Laura thinks someone from the clinic must have gone postal - maybe the crazy patient? It seems odd though, considering Foster's practice has the highest pregnancy rates in the country.

Laura gets another call from Alicia, reporting that a group of moms are staging a sit-in in Laura's living room. Laura races home to discover it's actually an intervention for her parenting skills, or lack thereof. The moms blame the Diamonds' "broken home" and violent professions for the boys' bullying behavior and hand her a very condescending parenting book. The moms demand the twins drop out of Tae Kwon Do, and when Laura refuses, Kelly threatens her by saying the last boy who bullied Zoey was pulled out of school immediately. Laura is suddenly suspicious. She shoos the women out, promising the twins will return to class just once more to say goodbye.

While Laura's fending off helicopter moms, Billy meets with Foster's partner, who claims Karl was beloved by his patients. As for the patient who attacked him, she explains that the hormones they put these women on can sometimes make them highly emotional, as was true in the case of "Crazy Daisy." But Meredith learns Daisy was justifiably angry that Foster pushed back her IVF to accommodate his golfing vacation, so she switched doctors and immediately got pregnant. While Foster may have high pregnancy rates, her new doctor has higher live birth rates. Daisy definitely didn't kill the doctor, but she did notice something suspicious at the clinic: a nurse, Elena, was stealing embryos from the clinic - she even tried to sell Daisy one. Daisy reported Elena to Dr. Foster.

Laura and Meredith bring Elena in for questioning. Maybe Foster threatened to call the cops, so Elena killed him to avoid jail? Elena says she'd never turn him in, because she knew he was up to something fishy. Laura thinks she's figured out what's up, so she sets up a little sting... Pretending she's pregnant, Laura and Jake visit Foster's partner. The doctor performs an ultrasound and finds that Laura is in fact pregnant! And the doctor is arrested. Back at the precinct, Jake questions Foster's partner about her clever little scam, in which she doses a patient with HCG, which causes her pregnancy test to read positive. Then she rigs the ultrasound to show a heartbeat and ta da, one "clinical pregnancy" for the books. But at the next checkup, there's no heartbeat and the patient thinks she had a miscarriage. She has just enough hope to start another $10,000 cycle. Jake demands the names of the patients the practice swindled, as one of them likely killed Foster.

But when Billy and Meredith interview the patients, they all prove to be Foster's biggest fans. In a last ditch effort, Laura and Billy go to the house of a couple who were conned into thinking they were pregnant three times. Mrs. Harvell praises Dr. Foster, as she had previously been told she could never have children, but he kept proving her wrong. Suddenly, Laura starts breaking out in hives and notices Mr. Harvell's coat, covered in horse dander. The detectives head to the roof to question Mr. Harvell, who's outside grilling. He figured out the scheme after three supposed pregnancies, because as a video editor, he finally realized the doctor was showing them the exact same footage every time. Mr. Harvell tries to deny everything, but winds up admitting he fought with Foster and stabbed him with an empty needle, so he could feel what his wife went through with fertility treatments. Harvell didn't mean to kill him - he just wanted to know how Foster could do such a thing. Instead of denying the scheme, Foster offered him a refund, which is what set Harvell off. It was all about the money for Foster. Suddenly, Harvell douses himself in lighter fluid and threatens to light himself on fire. Laura tries talking him down by telling him about her own miscarriage - she and Jake were pregnant with a little girl, but she lost the baby. Two years later, she had the twins, and she can't imagine her life any other way. She begs him to stick around for his family, but he refuses and starts to light himself on fire, when... Bam! Laura kicks him off the roof's ledge... and onto the firefighters' airbag below.

Back at the precinct, Max informs Jake and Laura that they nabbed two more perps - Zoey and her mom. The mother-daughter duo orchestrated another alleged bully's expulsion and are even suing his parents. So Laura heads to the dojo to bust another scam. She hides in the locker room and tapes Zoey following the twins inside. The camera catches Zooey threatening Harrison and Nicholas and then biting her own arm to frame them. Laura shows the footage to the nosey moms and hands Zoey's mom Kelly a pamphlet: Juvenile Offender's Guide to the Penal Code. Laura then marches out of the dojo with the boys and an impressed Alicia in tow.
