Craig has just about had it with bass player, brother and roommate Ben, an inconsiderate slob who doesn't pay rent, spills orange soda on test papers and uses all Craig's peanut butter for unspeakable sexual acts. Craig warns Ben to clean up his act or get the H out. He's got to clean, get a job and stop dating physically and emotionally damaged women. When Craig discovers Jimmy has written up a classified ad listing his worst fears in hopes of finding a new roommate, a plan takes flight. How would Jimmy like to share Ben's room? It's a short-term deal and contingent on Jimmy's success in getting Ben to clean up his act. With the deal sealed, science teacher Samir hands Craig Jimmy's list of fears for safekeeping. It turns out Jimmy is a militaristic neat freak, and he's got rules: Ben is going to take out the garbage, use coasters and date women with two of everything. Ben is appalled; Craig is over the moon.

Supervisor Dalton steps into the teacher's lounge to introduce his beloved dog, Mr. Dilbert Pickles, who's going to be staying with Principal Taylor while he's at a conference in Wichita. What Dalton doesn't know is that Taylor is scared to death of dogs and has only agreed to look after Mr. Pickles in hopes of a good performance review and a raise. That night, Taylor is breathless after climbing the four flights of stairs to Dalton's apartment and can't act fast enough to prevent Mr. Pickles from jumping out the window and disappearing into thin air, leaving only his collar behind. The next morning, a distraught Taylor reports her bad news to the teachers. Dalton is going to fire her! Ashleigh and Samir offer to lead a search party, and the hunt for Mr. Pickles is on, as Taylor distributes flyers to the students. And when Samir starts using science to reconstruct Mr. Pickles' trajectory, Ashleigh gets a little hot and bothered...

Craig returns home to find Ben and Jimmy have turned adversity into complicity - they're playmates named Bimmy who have transformed the apartment into a beach clubhouse with actual sand. Craig immediately kicks Jimmy out, but he refuses to leave on legal grounds, since Craig already cashed his rent check. Craig starts sleeping in the teachers' lounge, explaining to Taylor that the Ben/Jimmy voting block has decided to stop flushing the toilet. But Taylor has great advice: Craig needs to drive a wedge between Ben and Jimmy, then spank the resistance right out of them. Craig interprets this to mean target the weak one and quickly makes a new plan. Later, Craig tells Jimmy he's jealous of Bimmy, so it's time to get rid of Ben. Jimmy needs to irritate Ben so much that he wants to move out. That night, Jimmy wastes no time alienating Ben's new squeeze and cutting his leather jackets into belly vests, prompting Ben to beg for Craig's help getting Jimmy out. When Craig claims his hands are tied, Ben promises to get a job, pay rent - even flush the toilet. So what do they have to do to get Jimmy out?

Supervisor Dalton has returned to school and can't wait to see his beloved dog. When the students try to pass off a three-legged mutt as Mr. Pickles, Taylor screws up her courage to tell the truth, just as Ashleigh walks in with the real thing. Dalton grants Taylor her promotion and raise, and after he leaves, Ashleigh explains that Mr. Pickles fell into a passing garbage truck. Forever grateful, Taylor decides to adopt the three-legged dog.

Whipping out the list of Jimmy's worst fears, the Robinson brothers assemble a spice rack, taxidermy, Baked Alaska and a necklace made of ziti. Freaked out, Jimmy is ready to run, but first asks for a moment alone with Craig - to tell him he knows what's going on. He'll move out, no problem - he had a great time and made great new friends. But they've got to make Ben think Jimmy's pissed at Craig - that way Craig can get what he wants out of Ben. And indeed, Ben gets a job - which he quits two minutes later.
