Eager to bond with his father, Bobby asks Hank to help him prepare for his role in the Arlen Public Library's production of "Of Mice and Men." Dale, who doesn't share his son Joseph's love of sports, suggests Hank help Joseph with lacrosse while Dale tackles acting with Bobby.

A proud Peggy and Dale attend Bobby's play, but Hank is a no-show because he accidentally missed the play while attending Joseph's lacrosse game. Not being able to bond with his own son, Dale becomes convinced that Joseph's real father is an alien who impregnated Nancy while Dale was away on a trip searching for UFO's. Dale still does not suspect Jon Redcorn.
