Nick is worried about Hank. Ever since Hank saw Monroe as a Blutbad, he hasn't been himself. He's been jumpy and anxious. Monroe reminds Nick that even Nick thought he was losing his mind when his Grimm visions started. The pair hopes the ill effects will wear off soon. As they leave the coffee shop, a private investigator takes their photograph. Once the photos are developed, the investigator calls someone. "I found your friend." The investigator is looking over a newspaper clipping of Soledad Marquesa, the man killed during the Coins of Zakynthos case and also a suspect in the murder of Nick's parents.

Akira Kimura arrives in Portland to meet with the investigator. Kimura is the sole surviving suspect in Nick's parents' killing. The investigator reveals Marquesa came there to find the three gold Coins of Zakynthos. Kimura's instantly intrigued. The investigator continues by pointing out Nick, Hank, Captain Renard and Monroe were all involved in Marquesa's case and believes one of them now has the coins. Kimura morphs into a Schakal and kills the investigator for his trouble. Moments later, someone breaks into the hotel room and finds the dead investigator. It's a woman dressed in black with a hood over her head. She surveys the scene and leaves.

Adalind is back in town. After feeding her cat a bowl of milk with some added drops of potion, Adalind takes her cat to Juliette's veterinary office. Adalind apologizes for the abrupt visit and hopes her breakup with Hank isn't a problem. Juliette assures Adalind she doesn't mix her personal life with her animal's business. When Juliette takes the cat to keep for overnight observation, the cat scratches her hand and draws blood. The cat's eyes turn black and its tongue turns yellow as Juliette applies a bandage to her wound. What is Adalind up to?

Hank and Nick investigate the murdered investigator crime scene. Kimura has already cleared the room of all the evidence collected concerning Marquesa. The detectives find the investigator's car rental key, however, and find camera equipment inside. Back at the station, Nick and Hank's jaws drop as they discover the photographs are of them and the captain. Why was he tailing us? As Hank leaves to call the captain to warn him he might be in danger, Nick looks through more pictures and finds some of Monroe. He's in jeopardy too!

Captain Renard arrives at his condo and finds the place ransacked. Pulling out his gun to search the room, Renard is jumped by Kimura and knocked out while his phone rings with the warning. Renard wakes up tied to a chair with Kimura asking where the coins are. Dropping the name Kolt Farley, Kimura replies he's already wasted three days finding out he didn't have them. Kimura won't waste as much time with Renard. The woman in black is loitering outside Renard's building by the time Nick and Hank arrive. They head upstairs to discover the trashed apartment and Renard unconscious inside. Nick realizes they're not just looking for Kimura... he's looking for them too.

Nick cautions Monroe that his picture was taken by the investigator, so he needs to be on the lookout for Kimura. Understanding Kimura may be the last link to uncovering what happened to his parents, Nick wants to get Kimura alone and spend some Grimm time with him. Monroe believes he can help. Going through the books, Monroe stumbles on the story of a Grimm placing a toxin on a crossbow bolt to subdue a Wesen and extract information. Finding the same toxin in Aunt Marie's trailer, they prepare the crossbow bolts.

Nick comes home and finds Juliette in an amorous mood since things have been going so well between them lately. Nick's all in until he hears Adalind's cat scratched her. Checking the scratch marks for himself, Nick tells Juliette he has to get her to a doctor right away. Juliette doesn't understand what the big deal is, and Nick is unable to offer an effective excuse. Claiming she won't go with Nick until he explains his paranoia about Adalind, Nick grasps Juliette's life is on the line here and it requires laying all of his cards on the table. Nick tells Juliette ominously if she wants the truth to get her coat. He's going to take her to the truth.

Nick drives Juliette to Aunt Marie's trailer and reveals what happened around the time his aunt died. Nick began seeing things and thought he was going crazy. Aunt Marie told him people in his family are like hunters who can see things most people can't. Juliette is already confused. Hunters of what? Nick opens one of the tomes and shows Juliette the illustrations of various Wesens. Nick's enthusiasm with finally being able to show Juliette the truth only puts her more on edge. After Nick opens the weapons closet, Juliette's had enough and walks out of the trailer. Nick's scaring her, and she deems he needs professional help. Nick asks to show her one last thing before she gives up on him forever.

The woman in black tracks Kimura to his motel. Though Kimura isn't there, the woman ascertains the next three people he'll be visiting are Hank, Nick and Monroe. Sgt. Wu is canvassing the area with wanted posters for Kimura. The motel manager is able to ID the suspect. As Wu approaches Kimura's second story room, he observes the woman in black leaving the premises. Instead of surrendering, the woman puts on a display of martial arts moves and agility to evade capture. Wu is left wondering who that woman is.

Nick takes Juliette to Monroe's house and pleads for him to transform for her. Before he can, Juliette passes out. The scratch is obviously having its effect. Juliette is placed in quarantine at the hospital and remains comatose. Nick wants to stay, but knows this isn't going to help her. Hank calls to warn Nick about the woman in black. She attacked Wu and must be connected to Kimura. Based on what this woman pulled off at the motel, she's not someone to take lightly.

Monroe and Nick go to Juliette's animal shelter to look for Adalind's cat. Monroe leans in front of the cage marked Adalind Shade, and the cat inside hisses and rattle the door. Yeah, that's the one. Taking the cat to Rosalee's shop, they attempt to deduce what potion Adalind used. If Rosalee can't get a sample from the claws, she's going to have to get in to see Juliette. Nick leaves to find Adalind. Monroe mentions how Blutbads and house pets don't really mix... except for the occasional mid-meal snack. Meanwhile, Juliette briefly wakes up in the hospital. She has black, cat-like eyes!

Hank enters his house and finds it's been turned upside down. While he searches his house with his gun drawn, Hank is reminded of his visions of being attacked by a Wesen. Hank's so intent as he creeps toward a closet door, he doesn't notice the woman in black sneak out behind him. Something creaks near the closet causing Hank to fire before he can even see what it is. Hank opens the door to find... three bullet holes in the closet wall. There was nothing there. Hank calls Nick to tell him Akira's been there and Nick's place is next. Hank settles into a chair with a rifle in one arm and handgun in the other. He's freaked out and ready for anything.

Nick finds his place turned out. Nick readies his crossbow with tainted bolts, yet misses as Kimura walks down the stairs. Akira morphs and battles Nick in his own living room. Kimura realizes Nick's the Grimm and demands the coins. Nick retaliate es with his Grimm strength and asks why Kimura killed his parents. Nick stuns Kimura with a blow as the woman in black enters. While Nick and the woman start exchanging moves, Kimura comes to and reaches the crossbow. The woman leaves Nick to finish Kimura for herself with a crossbow bolt in the heart. Nick finds his gun and points it at the woman in black. She stands up, lowers her hood and says, "Nicky, it's me." Nick's eyes widen... Mom?
