The first look of Katee Sackhoff on "24" has been shared as some promotional photos that expose individual characters are released by FOX. The actress is a new addition to the CTU team, being placed as an analyst named Dana Walsh. The role is not only recurring but regular.

Dana will work side by side with Kiefer Sutherland's Jack Bauer. The character is described as "a highly respected and down-to-earth data analyst at the new and improved New York branch of CTU." She reportedly will be entangled in a romantic relationship with field agent Davis Cole who is played by another new regular, Freddie Prinze Jr.

Lunatic President Logan Is Alive on '24'

A news surfacing by the hour, Gregory Itzin is making a return to "24" to reprise his role as former president Charles Logan. This means he survived the near-death experience in season 6 when his wife Martha stabbed him with a kitchen knife. He was last seen wheeled into the ER and flatlining on the way.

Passing the good news was Executive Producer Howard Gordon himself who told the press that Logan will be back for multi-episode arc. On how Logan will make his triumphant entrance, FOX said that the in-duty President Taylor (Cherry Jones) "reluctantly" enlists Logan to assist with an escalating international diplomatic crisis.

The first look into the eighth season of "24" has been shared through the two trailers released by FOX. In the story arc that is known as Day 8, Jack Bauer attempts to live peacefully with his granddaughter Teri but duty calls. The start time for the new season would be 4.00 P.M.

Rumor has it, Jack is involved in the mission where assassination threat is made during a peace conference between President Allison Taylor of United States and President Omar Hassan of the fictional Islamic Republic of Kamistan. Cherry Jones reprises her role as Mrs. President while Anil Kapoor joins the show as the Middle Eastern leader.

Three More Actors Join '24' in Season 8

"24" is adding more characters to the series and the execs have landed three actors to fit the roles. Rami Malek, Julian Morris and Hrach Titizian are signed for multi-episode arc in the eighth season to play a would-be suicide bomber, a CTU SWAT agent and a second-in-command of security respectively.

Malek's Marcos is an Arab American with sympathies toward radical Islam while Titizian's Nabeel is in charge of President Hassan's (Anil Kapoor) safety. Nabeel in particular will work against Mehran (Mido Hamada), the leader of an operative group in an Islamic country who seeks to harm the president. Little is known about Morris' character.

The next season of "24" will see one more big addition. Katee Sackhoff, who made fame as Starbuck in "Battlestar Galactica", has been hired to be a regular playing a member of the reformed CTU named Dana Walsh. Her involvement has been confirmed by a FOX spokesperson.

Being a member of the fictional U.S. government anti-terrorist agency, Dana will work side by side with the main character Jack Bauer. Per Entertainment Weekly, Dana is "a highly respected and down-to-earth data analyst at the new and improved New York branch of CTU." But beyond that she has a skeleton in her closet that she's trying "desperately" to hide.

The footage features an opening scene of a car crash, leading to a kidnapping which happens between 8 and 9 A.M. Then, it continues with a scene of Jack in a court, being a witness to the case of brutality and torture by CTU agent.

"24: Redemption" is a two-hour movie that will hit the small screen on Sunday, November 23 via FOX. It was created based on the popular series "24" in anticipation of the long break between "24" sixth to seventh season, that was caused by the writer's strike. It serves as a prequel that correlates between seasons six and seven, set in Southern Africa where Jack finds himself caught up in a military coup.

Good news for the fans of FOX's action drama series, "24". Long time not seeing Jack Bauer's adventure as the United States' government agent for about 18 months since the sixth season finale in spring 2007, the fans are going to watch its seventh season's premiere in early January 2009.

After a year of delay, "24" will be back packed with action and explosions in the new season which will air in January next year. A trailer from the seventh volume has been released, showing what Jack Bauer has to face this time in the 24 hours of his life as U.S. government's agent.

As seen in the trailer, the new episode will see how Bauer finds out that his former CTU partner Tony Almeida is brought back from the dead but is resurrected for the other side. Almeida becomes someone who wants to help a terrorist organization taking control of the U.S. power. Bauer, standing in a trial also has to answer some questions related to human rights violations. '24' Production Shut Down

Golden Globe award-winning action drama, "24", will stop its filming for more than two weeks. On Friday, September 5, the 20th Century Fox have confirmed on the shutting down of the production grounding the decision on giving filmmakers time to rethink the direction and rewrite the script.

The work stoppage will be done after the completion of episode 18 on September 15 and the shooting is expected to resume on October 9. The idea of the hiatus has come from "24" executive producer Howard Gordon because he is concerned with the direction of the season's final six episodes.

Elisha is indeed set to appear at the end of the season, which shows that the fictional character Kim will return without her old boyfriend C. Thomas Howell by her side as their relationship has ended. Instead of having a new lover, Kim will bear a child. The seventh season will begin in January 2009.
