AceShowbiz - Jesse Palmer, host of the Bachelor franchise, has expressed his support for Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist, who announced their divorce on April 12th. Palmer is a close friend to Turner throughout his journey on "The Golden Bachelor", a spinoff of the popular series.
"My heart is forever with these two beautiful souls," Palmer wrote on Instagram. "I am grateful for the time I spent with Gerry and Theresa and the lessons I learned from them."
Gerry Turner, 72, and Theresa Nist, 70, met on "The Golden Bachelor" and tied the knot in January 2024. However, they announced their separation on "Good Morning America".
"Theresa and I have had many heartfelt conversations," Turner said. "We realized that it's best for us to live apart."
According to Turner, the couple could not agree on a permanent residence, despite searching in South Carolina and New Jersey.
"I still love her and root for her every day," Turner admitted.
Nist also confirmed that they had a prenuptial agreement and expressed gratitude for the support they received from fans. "We want to assure everyone that the hope you felt is still valid," she said.
News of the couple's break-up has been met with mixed reactions. Some fans have expressed disappointment while others have praised their decision to prioritize their happiness.
