February 21, 2013 02:02:53Robin Roberts is officially back on "Good Morning America" after more than five months of medical leave. "I've been waiting 174 days to say this: 'Good morning, America,' " she said at the beginning of the Wednesday, February 20 episode.
"I keep pinching myself and I realize this is real. This is actually happening, and I don't have my froggy slippers on, or do I?" ," she said after footage of her being greeted by people in the studio was played. "Faith, family and friends have brought me to this moment and I am so full of gratitude."

Roberts herself announced her return to the ABC morning show in a blog post. "After seeing my doctor again this week I now know when I can return to the anchor chair. February 20th, which will be exactly 5 months since my bone marrow transplant," the 52-year-old newscaster gushed.

"I'm so happy to be sharing this news with everybody," she began. "My blood count continues to improve. My beloved sister, Sally-Ann, my donor. Her cells continue to make themselves at home in my body. The big news is that my last bone marrow aspiration - I've lost count how many I've had - but the last bone marrow test showed no abnormalities."

TMZ reports that "doctors are pleased with her progress and say she's right on schedule, but that schedule puts her on the bench for 5 or 6 months." "GMA" bosses allegedly also want her back as soon as February 2013, but her condition still doesn't allow that and pushing her condition to the edge will be too risky.

ABC Apologizes for Tom Hanks' F Bomb on 'GMA', PTC Angry
October 20, 2012 12:10:15Tom Hanks dropped the F bomb on live broadcast of "Good Morning America" and quickly covered his mouth after realizing that he made a mistake. The actor was promoting his latest film "Cloud Atlas" on the morning show and was imitating the British accent of a character who said "f**king boots".
Both Hanks and "GMA" host Elizabeth Vargas repeatedly apologized to the audience. "We are SO sorry, 'Good Morning America'," Vargas said. Hanks chimed in, "I have never done that before," adding "I would apologize to the kids of America." He jokingly said that he would be subject to a seven-second delay the next time he's on the show.

April 17, 2012 12:04:43"Good Morning America" appears to be ending "Today" domination as No. 1 early morning show. For the first time since December 1995, the ABC show topped the NBC program with a thin margin of 13,000 viewers in weekly ratings.
According to Fast National Preliminary Nielsen data, "GMA" averaged 5.147 million viewers for the week of April 9, while "Today" delivered an averaging 5.134 million. The final numbers will be released on Thursday, April 19.

Offering an apology for the inappropriate visual on such daytime program, the network explained that the wardrobe malfunction slipped out of the censors.

'DWTS' Champion Jennifer Grey Visits 'Good Morning America'

During the interview, winner Grey revealed that "DWTS" is far more difficult than "Dirty Dancing". She said, "This dance experience was so much more difficult. I learned basically one dance over the course of a pretty long shoot and it was very, very little. This is a different dance every four days, or two dances or, in this case, four dances in four days. It was just a completely different level of dancing - much more complicated and much more challenging."

Among the questions that Cuomo threw to him was why did Ayers decide to call Obama a "family friend" while Obama prefer to call him a guy from neighborhood.
When Obama was running for the presidency, talks were rife on his association with Ayers that was thought as a possible jeopardy on his chance to win the election. "GMA" played some quotes from Obama's rivals, Hilary Clinton, Sarah Palin and John McCain that emphasized on this matter before welcoming Ayers to the show.
