In coincidence with the rare solar eclipse this week, the classic 'Heroes' saga is announced to get a reboot titled 'Heroes: Eclipsed' with Tim Kring from the original series.

AceShowbiz - In a cosmic coincidence, the solar eclipse this week has sparked news of a reboot of the beloved superhero drama series "Heroes."

According to Deadline, "Heroes: Eclipsed" is currently being pitched to potential buyers, including NBC, the original network for the show, as well as streaming services. The timing is particularly significant as the "Heroes" saga began with a solar eclipse in its debut episode and featured it as a recurring theme.

Written by Tim Kring, who also created the original series and its 2015 miniseries "Heroes Reborn," "Heroes: Eclipsed" is set years after the first "Heroes," featuring both familiar and new villains facing off against a fresh crop of heroes.

Hayden Panettiere, who played the iconic Claire Bennet in the original series, recently reminisced about her role in a retrospective interview with ET. She shared that people still approach her today with the famous line, "Save the Cheerleader, Save the World."

The original "Heroes" starred Milo Ventimiglia, Masi Oka, Zachary Quinto, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Ali Larter, Adrian Pasdar, Greg Grunberg, and Jack Coleman. Coleman reprised his role in "Heroes Reborn" alongside Zachary Levi, Robbie Kay, and others.

NBC originally aired both the original series and the limited series "Heroes Reborn." However, "Heroes: Eclipsed" is being shopped around to both NBC and streaming services. It is envisioned as an ongoing series, and Universal Television is the studio behind it.
