Jay-Z Reveals Kanye West's Concert Rant Sparked Their Feud: 'You Brought My Family Into It'
Celebrity

The 47-year-old spitter claimed Kanye crossed the line when he dragged Beyonce and Blue Ivy into their drama with his lengthy rant during his concert last year.

AceShowbiz - Following a number of speculations regarding the story behind Jay-Z and Kanye West's feud, Jigga has now finally broken his silence and set the record straight. Speaking to Rap Radar, the music mogul confirmed that Kanye's concert rant last year sparked their beef. He said he wasn't hurt when Kanye called him out, but the "Fade" rapper crossed the line by dragging his family into their problem.

"It's not even about Kanye, it really isn't," Jigga explained. "His name is there, just because it's just the truth of what happened. But the whole point is 'You got hurt because this person was talking about you on a stage.' But what really hurt me was, you can't bring my kids and my wife into it."

He added, "Kanye's my little brother. He's talked about me 100 times. He made a song called 'Big Brother'. We've gotten past bigger issues, but you brought my family into it, now it's a problem with me. That's a real, real problem. And he knows it's a problem."

It seems like Jay-Z doesn't plan to reconcile with Kanye in the near future. "He knows that he crossed the line. I know him. He knows," Jay-Z continued. "I know he knows, because we've never let this much space go between one of our disagreements, and we've had many, because that's who we are. That's what I like about him. He's an honest person, he's open and he'll say things and he's wrong a lot of times and he'll confront it."

During the Sacramento stop of his "Life of Pablo" tour last year, Kanye called out Jay-Z for not calling him after his wife Kim Kardashian's robbery incident in Paris. "Jay-Z, call me, bruh! You still ain't call me! Jay-Z, call me!" he said. "I know you got killers. Please don't send them at my head! Just call me! Talk to me like a man!"

He also took a jab at Jay-Z's wife Beyonce Knowles, yellling, "Beyonce, I was hurt because I heard that you said you wouldn't perform unless you won Video of the Year over me and over 'Hotline Bling'." Meanwhile, during Seattle concert, Kanye implied Jay-Z never brought Blue Ivy to his house. "Don't call me, after the robbery, and say 'How you feelin'?' You wanna know how I'm feeling? Come by the house. Bring the kids by the house, like we're brothers," he said at that time.
