The 'Bon Appetit' hitmaker's upcoming 'Witness: The Tour', which was originally scheduled to begin on September 7 in Columbus, Ohio, will launch nearly two weeks late.

AceShowbiz - Katy Perry pushes back her upcoming "Witness: The Tour". The "Bon Appetit" hitmaker took to Instagram on Thursday, August 17 to apologize to her fans after postponing the launch of her tour.

Katy said in a statement, "Due to unavoidable production delays, major elements of my tour stage design could not be available for me to rehearse on until this week. I'll be spending the next few weeks taking the time to properly prepare the show to be an experience I am proud to share with you."

"I'm sorry for any inconvenience this causes, but hope everyone who sees the show will agree it was worth the wait," she added, "My first show on WITNESS: The Tour will be in Montreal on September 19, and all the rescheduled dates are listed on katyperry.com/tour."

Katy Perry, however, still had some good news for her fans. She revealed that Noah Cyrus will join "Witness: The Tour" from September 19 to November 1, followed by Purity Ring from November 7 to December 20 and Carly Rae Jepsen from January 5 to February 5.

All tickets purchased for the original dates will be honored for the new dates, with refunds available at point of purchase.

Katy's upcoming tour is described as "an imaginative trip from outer-space to inner-space, from the planets to the bottom of our oceans, and a musical journey through Katy Perry's biggest milestones and mega-hits right up to her latest album. The dramatically original staging means that there isn't a bad seat in the house, when Katy brings out her band and dancers, along with all the bells and whistles."
