'Big Bang Theory': Sheldon and Amy Are Shacking Up in Season 10
TV

Sheldon and Amy are going to take their relationship to the next level, after consummating their relationship last season.

AceShowbiz - Having gone through ups and downs in the past few seasons of "The Big Bang Theory", it's only fitting that Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy (Mayim Bialik) are getting stronger than ever before. Thus, in the upcoming tenth season, the couple is ready to take the next step.

After consummating their relationship in the last season, they are going to be living together. "There are some big experiments in store for them and their relationship," executive producer Steve Molaro tells EW, noting that it's just an experiment for them for now. "A good way to trick Sheldon into doing things is by framing it in terms of science."

Still, Sheldon is aware of what this move means. Molaro says, "It's not a trick, he's aware of what's happening. Everyone will have all the apprehensions of whatever they're gonna feel and they'll work their way through it like they have for the last six years."

If Sheldon and Amy decide to live together permanently, Penny (Kaley Cuoco) and Leonard (Johnny Galecki) will have a chance to finally live together after getting married last season. But that won't change the core of the show as Molaro claims, "I think there are ways that we can experiment and the show [will] still very much feel like the show. At the end of the day, as long as those people are gathered in that living room to hang out and eat dinner, I think it will always be the show."

"The Big Bang Theory" returns with the new season Monday, September 19 at 8 P.M. ET on CBS.
