The 'Guardians of the Galaxy' star said that there would be one last Trilogy to end the action adventure movie franchise.

AceShowbiz - Universal was reportedly having troubles finding a new director for "Fast and Furious 8" after James Wan decided to leave the franchise. It was also said that producer and star Vin Diesel was difficult to work with on set and became the reason why Wan didn't want to helm the upcoming movie. Diesel took to Facebook recently to address the controversy while also promising fans a new trilogy that would end the saga.
"The fans of the 'Fast & Furious' SAGA are the best fans in the world," wrote Diesel. "Since I became the Producer in 2008, you have been with me every step of the way... literally giving me feedback that proved invaluable."
"Thank you. My producing partner Neal [H. Moritz] would love for me to just sign off on a director, but this is too special a franchise, so these matters have to be very carefully handled," he added.
Diesel made it clear that there was no director tapped yet, but he promised he would reveal it later via Facebook when the movie has already got a helmer. "To be clear, NO ONE has been offered to helm 'Fast 8' yet... let alone seen a script. Universal has been so good to me and so trusting of the vision... they have been like family...," he revealed.
The actor also hinted at a possible new trilogy. "I promised the studio I would deliver one last Trilogy to end the saga. I will announce the directors on my next post...," he said. However, it is unclear whether the new trilogy includes "Furious 7" or it will start with "Furious 8" and continue with "Fast and Furious 9" and "Fast and Furious 10".
The eighth installment of "Fast and Furious" movie franchise is scheduled to hit U.S. theaters on April 14, 2017. Diesel and The Rock will reprise their respective roles as Dominic Toretto and Luke Hobbs.
