Rosie O'Donnell's Daughter Found Safe and Sound in New Jersey

The 17-year-old Chelsea and her therapy dog Bear were found roughly 130 miles away from home.

AceShowbiz - Not long after Rosie O'Donnell announced that her daughter went missing, police found the 17-year-old girl safe and sound. The talk show host announced on Twitter that "chelsea has been found and is safe in police custody - thank u all for the help and light #missingchildren."

O'Donnell's representative additionally told ABC News, "Rosie wants to thank everyone for their help, especially the South Nyack, N.Y., and Barnegat Light, N.J., police departments." She provided no further information regarding where Chelsea was found, but TMZ reported that she was in the town of Barnegat Light on the Jersey Shore, which was 130 miles south of O'Donnell's home in Rockland County, New York.

South Nyack police additionally said Chelsea was with at least one other person and was at the Jersey Shore. The teen declined medical attention. Her 6-month-old therapy dog named Bear was also found with her but its status was unknown.

Police had been looking for Chelsea since Sunday, August 16 after O'Donnell said she had not seen her in a week. The actress sought help because Chelsea needed to take medication for mental illness. Law enforcement sources told TMZ that Chelsea was located by pinging a cell phone she'd used.

Chelsea is O'Donnell's daughter with her former partner Kelli Carpenter. She also mothers four other children.
