AceShowbiz - Paul Feig's female-centric untitled Ghostbusters reboot has already had Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon in the cast to play the members of the titular team. Now, the movie adds three more actors to the cast.

TheWrap reports that Andy Garcia has signed up to play the Mayor of New York City. Although the film is currently shooting in Boston, it will be set in New York City. In 2014, Garcia was teaming up with Jeremy Renner in drama "Kill the Messenger", and took part in comedy "Let's Be Cops".

Another new cast member is Michael K. Williams, who is set to play a character named Hawkins. He is best known for his role as Omar on HBO's series "The Wire". He also starred on TV series "Community" as a biology professor.

Matt Walsh is also in the list of newly-added stars. He is attached to portray a character named Rourke. Feig seems to make a good decision to add Walsh to the cast as he previously starred on comedy series "Veep" as Mike McLintock.

Meanwhile, Cecily Strong who was rumored to star in the reboot is now confirmed to take part in the movie. However, there is no detail yet about the role she will portray.

In other news, Feig shared some photos on Twitter which capture the detail of proton pack which will be used by the four main characters in the film. Some fans asked the director to provide detailed-look at the proton pack so that they could build their own proton pack. Shortly after the request was made, Feig posted some new images with some helpful specs about the size and the component of the machine.

The upcoming reboot centers on two characters, one played by McCarthy and the other by Wiig. They collaborate on a book to prove that ghosts are real and exist among human. When ghosts invade Manhattan, they reunite with other two proton pack-packing phantom wranglers (Jones and McKinnon) to hunt down the ghosts.

Besides McCarthy and the team, Chris Hemsworth is on board to star as a receptionist for the team. Produced by Ivan Reitman, the fantasy comedy movie is slated for a release on July 22, 2016 in the United States.
