Report: Doomsday to Appear in 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice'
Movie

The DC supervillain from Krypton who is best known for killing Superman in 1992's storyline 'The Death of Superman' reportedly will be a major villain in 'Dawn of Justice'.

AceShowbiz - Doomsday is reportedly going to appear in upcoming movie "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice". According to Umberto Gonzalez a.k.a. El Mayimbe in the Saturday, May 16 episode of "Shanlian on Batman " podcast, Doomsday will be a major villain alongside Lex Luthor in the movie.

Umberto compared the role of the DC supervillain from Krypton, who is best known for killing Superman in 1992's storyline "The Death of Superman", in the film to what Darth Vader served as in the original "Star Wars" movie. Doomsday will allegedly be Lex Luthor's "muscle" like how Darth Vader was Grand Moff Tarkin's "muscle" as Lex Luthor is not a threat unless he's wearing some sort of armor.

Umberto also mentioned that from what he's heard, the live-action Doomsday looks "incredible." In his comic book counterpart, Doomsday has extruding bones.

However, neither Zack Snyder nor Warner Bros. has announced that Doomsday will make an appearance in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice". Starring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, and Gal Gadot, the superhero flick is set to hit theaters in the U.S. on March 25, 2016.
