On Monday, July 27, the upcoming dramedy from Columbia Pictures held its special screening at Mann Village Theatre in Westwood, California, giving a chance to its stars and filmmakers to present the movie before it opens wide in August.
Coming to the momentous event representing the cast ensemble were two of its leading ladies, Amy Adams who stars as Julie Powell and Meryl Streep who portrays Julia Child. They were joined by several other cast members, including Chris Messina, Jane Lynch and Mary Lynn Rajskub.

Despite being engaged to actor Darren Le Gallo since last year, Amy claims she is in no rush to start a family with Darren.
"We haven't even started with the date," she says. "I've been really busy, and I feel like a horrible fiancee that I haven't gotten swept up in the whole idea of a wedding. But I haven't." Contrary to her, Amy claims Darren can't wait to make their union official. "I think he was patient for the first nine months, but now that we have been engaged for a year, he's sort of, you know, 'This is going to happen, right?' " she reveals, adding "He understands I'm busy, but he's ready. He's much more ready for kids and stuff than I am."

While it covers the years Julia and her husband Paul spent in Paris during the 1940s and 1950s, it also chronicles Julie's trials and tribulations when she embarks on a year-long culinary quest to cook all 524 recipes in Julia's "Mastering the Art of French Cooking".

In the announcement made by Angela Bassett and Eric McCormack, it was revealed that the movie received five counts, including nod for outstanding performance by a motion picture cast.
For the cast ensemble title, "Doubt" will have to face tough contenders, "Frost/Nixon", "Milk", "Slumdog Millionaire" and "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button".
