AceShowbiz - Miranda Lambert returned on Tuesday, April 28 with a new song. The country superstar debuted "Two of a Crime" which she co-wrote and recorded for "Hot Pursuit" after being personally asked by the film's star Reese Witherspoon.

Per the actress' request, the song has a "Southern and a Latin flavor." A perfect companion to the upcoming comedy, it opens with some gritty guitar licks before Lambert sings about finding a perfect partner in crime.

"We're a dirty combination, you and me/ The way I play it cool/ And you bring the heat/ But I got your back/ And I know that you got mine/ That makes us two of a crime," she coos. The track closes out with almost-two-minute instrumentals from a Mariachi band.

"Reese texted me and told me about the movie and wanted me to write something or sing or both. I got inspired," Lambert said of her involvement on the film's soundtrack in an interview with Ryan Seacrest on his radio show earlier this month. "It was a bit of a 'Thelma and Louise' theme and that's totally up my alley. It is really so fun to be part of it."

Also starring Sofia Vergara, "Hot Pursuit" is scheduled to hit U.S. theaters on May 8.
