The 'Nashville' star and her boxer fiance are proud parents to a healthy baby girl, their first child together, born on December 9.

AceShowbiz - It's an early Christmas delivery for Hayden Panettiere and her fiance Wladimir Klitschko. A representative for the "Nashville" actress confirms she gave birth to her first child, a baby girl named Kaya, on Tuesday, December 9.

Baby Kaya weighed in at 7 lbs., 14 oz., and measured 20 inches. "We are over the moon and madly in love!" the proud parents said in a statement to PEOPLE.

Panettiere, 25, and Klitschko, 38, dated after they first met in 2009 at a book party. The petite actress and the 6-foot-6 boxer champion broke up in 2011 before giving their romance another chance early last year and then announcing their engagement in October 2013.

In a visit to Ellen DeGeneres' show, she cracked a joke about the height difference between her and her beau, "He's got bowlegs and I've got knocked knees," before joking about their future kids, "so they're going to have straight legs. And they'll be normal height."

She let it slip the gender of her baby during a red carpet interview at the Emmy Awards this year. "I'm thrilled that I am having a girl first because I feel like I know a lot about raising a strong woman," she told Hello magazine. "I feel very empowered myself and I think my daughter will, too."

Of her upcoming wedding with the pro boxer, Panettiere said, "I'll tell you one thing for sure: I am not walking down the aisle 40 pounds heavier than usual in a wedding dress with a huge pregnancy belly stitched in. Not happening."

"I started out at 106 pounds and guess how much I weight now? Around 145 pounds!" she opened up back then. "The worst part is that my feet are still size five and they're going, 'What's going on with all this weight?' They're about to snap from underneath me with the strain!"
