'Let's just say, the action figures have taken an indefinite sabbatical,' the toy retailer says following a Florida mom's outcry over the 'Breaking Bad' dolls.

AceShowbiz - When eight thousand moms join forces for a same goal, someone listens to their demand. That's what happens after the petition to urge Toys R Us to stop selling "Breaking Bad" dolls garners more and more supporters each day.

The company told The Associated Press on late Tuesday, October 21 that the toys in question were being removed immediately from its website and shelves. Toys R Us said in a statement, "Let's just say, the action figures have taken an indefinite sabbatical."

Susan Schrivjer, who lives in Fort Myers, Florida, wrote on the petition, "Toys R Us is well known around the world for their vast selection of toys for children of all ages. However their decision to sell a Breaking Bad doll, complete with a detachable sack of cash and a bag of meth, alongside children's toys is a dangerous deviation from their family friendly values."

"While the show may be compelling viewing for adults, its violent content and celebration of the drug trade make this collection unsuitable to be sold alongside Barbie dolls and Disney characters," she added.

Toys R Us initially responded with a statement which read, "The products you reference are carried in very limited quantities and the product packaging clearly notes that the items are intended for ages 15 and up. Items from this TV series are located in the adult action figure area of our stores."

The show's star Bryan Cranston, meanwhile, reacted to the petition with a hilarious tweet. " 'Florida mom petitions against Toys 'R Us over Breaking Bad action figures.' I'm so mad, I'm burning my Florida Mom action figure in protest," he posted on his Twitter page on Monday.

The petition on Change.org has so far garnered nearly 9,000 signatures.
