Chris Rock Returns to Host 'SNL' With Prince as Musical Guest

The 'Top Five' actor will serve as a host on 'Saturday Night Live' on November 1 as a cross promotion for his new movie.

AceShowbiz - Chris Rock is returning to "Saturday Night Live" as a host. The comedian is announced to serve as emcee on the variety show during the November 1 episode with Prince being tapped as a performer.

Chris was a cast member on the NBC sketch show from 1990 to 1993. He previously hosted the late-night show in 1996. His upcoming return to the show is a part of promotion for his newest movie "Top Five".

"SNL" season 4 kicked off with Chris Pratt and Ariana Grande debuting as a host and a musical guest respectively. "SNL" alums Sarah Silverman and Bill Hader followed in the next two episodes.

After taking a break this weekend, the show will come back October 25 with Jim Carrey as a host in a cross promotion for his latest flick "Dumb and Dumber To". Iggy Azalea is set to perform during the episode.
