Marvel is allegedly pleased with the existing screenplay and is expected to take it out to directors to make it happen.

AceShowbiz - The buzz surrounding the movie adaptation of Marvel's "The Inhuman" comic books is heating up. After Vin Diesel teased a possible role in the project, now there is a new report suggesting that the feature film has a screenplay written by Joe Robert Cole.

According to Collider, Marvel plans to handle the project the same way they tackled "Guardians of the Galaxy" which was drafted by Nicole Perlman before director James Gunn added his flavors to the story. Rumor has it, the studio is happy with Cole's script and is now expected to look for a director.

"The Inhuman" movie has been in development for a long time. Back in July 2012, Marvel's head Kevin Feige told Entertainment Weekly that fans could expect an "X-Men-style ensemble, a la The Avengers" for both the "Guardians" and "Inhumans".

There hasn't been new word on the long-gestating "Inhumans" as the "Guardians" is being fast-tracked by Marvel, until recently when Diesel who voiced Groot in the latter film posted on Facebook about getting "the strange feeling that Marvel thinks I'm Inhuman."

"The Inhumans" story is similar to that of "Guardians" which is about a group of misfits and outsiders who band together to fight evil forces. It's about superhumans who were abandoned by their creator, the alien Kree. They then formed their own society led by Black Bolt, Medusa, Karnak, Gorgon, Triton, Crystal, Maximus the Mad, and Lockjaw.
