The Rock wrote alongside the picture, "Takin' mama home. Banged up, but she's a tough one and will make a full recovery. Grateful to see her smile. And thank you guys for all the prayers, love and well wishes. #GratitudeAndBearHugs #ChoicesMatter #100PercentPreventable #DontDrinkAndDrive."

Ata and The Rock's cousin, Lina Fanene, were hospitalized after being hit by a female drunk driver. The accident reportedly took place in Clermont, Florida on August 2. The Rock shared on the photo sharing site a photo of the wreckage on August 9. He captioned it with, "My mom & cousin @linafanene were struck head on by a drunk driver this week - they lived."

He continued, "First reaction is to find the person who did this and do unrelenting harm to them. But then you realize the most important thing is my family lived thru this and we can hug each other that much tighter these days. Hug your own family tighter today and be grateful you can tell them you love them. #BearHugsAndGratitude #100PercentPreventable #ChoicesMatter."

The drunk driver, who hit Ata and Lina, has been charged with DUI.
