"The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" released its first trailer, featuring familiar faces. The sequel to 2012's sleeper hit "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" welcomes back Judi Dench, Bill Nighy, Maggie Smith and Dev Patel among others.
The trailer opens with Smith's Muriel announcing to a board that the hotel for the elderly and beautiful has been operating smoothly for eight months. Patel's Sonny then does a roll call, "a most valuable precaution to ensure that nobody has died in the night."
Peace is disturbed when there's only one vacancy left but two guests arriving. Richard Gere, David Strathairn and Tamsin Greig are among the new faces. Penelope Wilton returns as chirpy Jean who tells the residents, "I couldn't resist the chance to come and visit the old crumbling ruins and see how the hotel was doing as well."
John Madden and Ol Parker are back as director and scriptwriter respectively. "The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" will be released on March 6, 2015 in limited U.S. theaters.
