Uncertainty Looms Around 'Pirates of the Caribbean 4'
October 23, 2009 02:10:51Ever since Walt Disney Studios former Chairman Dick Cook took the D23's stage to announce "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides", reports after reports have come in about the development of this fourth "Pirates" movie. But, during a press event for "Astro Boy", actor Bill Nighy told Sci Fi Wire that any announcement about the movie is premature.
"I understand that there was an announcement that there was going to be a fourth, and now I've been told since that that was not a reliable announcement," the actor who plays Davy Jones in "Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End" and "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" said. Though so, he didn't completely rule out the possibility of a fourth film. "I'm pretty sure that there will be [a fourth]," he said. "I would be amazed if there weren't, given the success of the first three."
'Astro Boy' Lands in L.A. for Premiere
October 20, 2009 02:10:53A week shy of its theatrical release, "Astro Boy" has got a red carpet treatment for its Los Angeles premiere. Held Monday, October 19, the special screening event took place at Mann Chinese 6 and was made merry with the attendance of a life-size Astro Boy to greet the stars upon their arrivals at the red carpet.
Three of the major voice cast, Freddie Highmore, Kristen Bell and Bill Nighy, were spotted attending the premiere and posing with the Astro Boy for the press. While Nicolas Cage who provides voice to Dr. Tenma wasn't seen around, other voice cast members like Eugene Levy, Madeline Carroll, Moises Arias and Sterling Beaumon were present.

July 29, 2009 10:07:16After previewing new trailer for "Astro Boy" at San Diego Comic Con 2009, Summit Entertainment released six fresh images from the CGI adaptation of Osamu Tezuka's manga. A number of the newly-outed stills feature first look at three of the film's characters, Nicolas Cage's Dr. Tenma, Bill Nighy's Dr. Elefun and Donald Sutherland's President Stone.
Aside from the revelation of those characters, some other shots from the movie are also shared. One of them sees Astro soaring above Metro City, another captures the boy robot being scanned, and the rest highlight on Peacekeeper. In addition to the pictures, Summit's also updated the official "Astro Boy" website with an interactive timeline, tracing Astro Boy's near 60 year history.
'G-Force' Storms Hollywood With World Premiere
July 20, 2009 11:07:05Sunday, July 19, has become one special day for "G-Force" as Walt Disney Pictures held a world premiere event for the forthcoming comedy adventure. Making use of the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, California, the mouse house rolled out red carpet in front of the theater to greet incoming celebrities.
While Nicolas Cage, Penelope Cruz and Will Arnett were not spotted coming for the special screening, some other cast members were present. They included Sam Rockwell, Jon Favreau, Zach Galifianakis, Bill Nighy, Niecy Nash and Kelli Garner. Joining them at the red carpet were two of the filmmakers, director Hoyt Yeatman and producer Jerry Bruckheimer.
Bill Nighy Confirms Involvement in 'Deathly Hallows'
July 01, 2009 04:07:28Bill Nighy has been cast in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows". According to a report in The Independent, the 59-year-old actor has recently spoken up about him joining the production of the adaptation of the last "Harry Potter" series. "I don't think I'm allowed to say it but I'm going to be in the next Harry Potter film," he said as quoted by the trades.
While giving out the confirmation of him joining the cast, Nighy won't disclose what character he is touted for. "I won't say which character, but he's a goodie," he shared. "I just got the gig." Words are, the "Love Actually" actor has been set to portray Rufus Scrimgeour, a veteran Auror in the Ministry of Magic who spends most of his time fighting Dark Wizards.
'Underworld: Rise of the Lycans' Takes World Premiere to L.A.

The special screening event took place at the ArcLight Cinemas in

Attending the premiere were some of the movie's major characters, Bill Nighy who plays Viktor, Michael Sheen who stars as Lucian and Rhona Mitra who portrays Sonja. They were joined by cast member Kevin Grevioux, director Patrick Tatopoulos, producer Len Wiseman and Screen Gems topper Clint Culpepper. Celebrity guests, like Garcelle Beauvais, Kip Pardue and Vail Bloom, have also been spotted at the event.

The teens finally made their choices on their most favorites this year as the 2007 Teen Choice Awards delightfully listed out its winners in the ceremony taking place Sunday night (August 26) at Gibson Amphitheatre at Universal Studios Hollywood.
Coming out as the big winner in movie categories was summer blockbuster flick "Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End" for it not only was named Choice Movie: Action Adventure but also led its stars Johnny Depp, Keira Knightley, and Bill Nighy to take the titles of best action adventure actor, actress, and villain, respectively.

Since being unveiled back in March, up to this moment there is no sign of "Valkyrie" filmmakers taking names into its cast apart from Tom Cruise. However, word is circulating now that the project has enticed five more actors to join in.
According to LatinoReview.com, the likes of Bill Nighy, Tom Wilkinson, Kenneth Branagh, Stephen Fry, and Patrick Wilson are all "in discussions" to take starring slot in the flick, a fact-based World War II thriller of United Artists production.

The coveted Golden Popcorn trophies once again set to be handed into the rightful ones as MTV has just revealed its list of nominees for this year's MTV Movie Awards, which it will air live for the first time ever from Universal City's Gibson Amphitheatre on June 3.
Picking up titles of various genres for the competition, the network surprisingly gives large portion attention to epic saga "300", granting the Zack Snyder-directed flick a total five nods, notably Best Movie and Best Performance for lead star Gerard Butler.

Gathering together at Beverly Hills' Imperial Ballroom of le Meridian on Sunday, December 17, 2006, members of International Press Academy eagerly handed down the organization's honor of Satellite Awards, originally known as Golden Satellite Awards, to the year's outstanding artists, films, television shows, DVDs, and interactive media.
Martin Scorsese's mob saga "The Departed" led the event together with "Dreamgirls" as both collected four prizes each. The Warner Bros. release scored in categories of Best Motion Picture - Drama, Best Screenplay - Adapted for William Monahan, Best Ensemble - Motion Picture, and Best Actor in a Supporting Role for Leonardo DiCaprio.

The adventure, action, comedy "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" was the big winner at this year Teen Choice Awards, held Sunday August 20th in Los Angeles.
Nabbing seven awards all at once, the highly anticipated movie won the categories of Choice Movie, Action Adventure; Choice Movie Actor, Drama/Action Adventure for Johnny Depp; Choice Rumble; Choice Drama / Action: Adventure Movie of the Summer; Choice Sleazebag for Bill Nighy; Choice Hissy Fit and also Choice Scream which both were given to Keira Knightley.
